Why not free lessons?

The free lessons provided by the colleges and schools are very good for aquiring certificates and qualifications.

They do suffer from a number of faults when you wish to learn how to use a computer and to understand them

1. You practice on the institutions computers and software, not your own.

2. You learn what they want to teach you, not what you want to learn.

3. The course is designed to get through an examination, not to teach you how to use a computer (thats incidental)

4. The Tutors themselves often do not understand the computers and software

5. You share the Tutor with up to 15 other students, you wait for assistance and you often are not told where you went wrong

6. They cannot help you if your computer does not work the way you expect it to.

7. No problem solving support
