How I work
I come to you
and we work together on your computer
Unlike most of the Educational establishments I see learning to use a computer as being closer to learning to drive a car than learning Maths or Geography (good job you do not need insurance as it will probably crash more often than the car!).
In my sessions you will sit in the drivers seat with me next to you explaining what you need to do and why. This way I must explain clearly and as slowly as necessary or you will not be able to follow my instructions.
I generally work in two hour sessions with individuals but this may extend to half or full day sessions with companies and firms where I will be working with the hardware and different people during the same session.You do not commit yourself to any more than the session you book unless you wish to set up a regular appointment for your convenience, thus you only pay me when you need me. There are no retainers or advance payments
I will help you identify the tasks you wish to accomplish, assemble them in an order that will give you a progressive understanding of the computer and operating system.
Although my lessons are generally task driven I seek to give you a full understanding of the computer and software but this is usually best accomplished performing tasks that you have a genuine interest in.
